The Opening Ceremony of The 9th Asian Science Camp
at Thailand Science Park Convention Center, NSTDA
Klong Luang District, Pathumthani Province
August 3, 2015
It is a great pleasure for me to preside over the Opening Ceremony of the 9th Asian Science Camp, hosted by The Promotion of Academic Olympiads and Development of Science Education Foundation under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhivas Rajanagarindra. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all participants to this gathering.
This Asian Science Camp provides good opportunity for the students to meet and learn from Nobel Laureates and leading scientists of the world. This will inspire their interest in science. I am pleased that Thailand has been selected to host this gathering in which the Thai students will have a chance to widen the scope of their knowledge by making friends with their fellow Asian students from cross-cultural societies.
I would like to thank the Nobel Laureates and leading scientists for giving up their precious time to inspire the future generation of Asian scientists. I also congratulate the young students gathering here for being selected to represent their homeland, and to have this unique experience. All of these students are precious resources and hoped to be the future of Asia.
I now declare open the 9th Asian Science Camp and wish you all every success.
